City Nature Challenge DC 2022 - Anacostia Watershed Results

Kudos to everyone for a successful City Nature Challenge DC! The DC area did quite well overall, ranking first for number of Identifiers, second for number of observers, fifth in number of observations, and seventh in number of species out of 445 cities in 47 countries participating. Observations made from April 29 – May 2 were automatically included in the Anacostia Watershed as well. Here is a snapshot of the results for the Anacostia watershed.

294 observers made 3087 observations between Friday, April 29, 2022 to Monday, May 2, 2022. Among the top five observers, @jmgconsult observed 323 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @jorbogmont contributed 212; @tdhudgins contributed 117; @carrieseltzer contributed 105; and @alexr2 contributed 94. Rounding out the top contributors, @dtread1 contributed 92; @jgingold contributed 87; @bosinski contributed 83; @copasetikncool contributed 70; and @freelydia123 contributed 68.
