Welcome to the Spring 2014 Tilden Nature Area BioBlitz!
Founded in 1949, the Tilden Nature Area has been a source of environmental discoveries and education for over 60 years. This project is to celebrate Earth Day and document the biodiversity found throughout the Nature Area and nearby Tilden Regional Park.
The BioBlitz is open to the general public, and no previous experience is neccessary. Come and help park staff and fellow citizen scientists document plants, animals, fungi, and anything else we might discover!
All shifts begin at the Environmental Education Center (here's a Google map). Registration required. Use the big green button at right or call 888-EBPARKS (888-327-2757).

Event Schedule
- 7am – 9am: Birds
- 10am – 1pm: general observations, family friendly!
- 2 – 5pm: general observations, family friendly!
- 6 – 7pm: pizza dinner
- 7 – 9pm: nocturnal observations.
