We're keen to know where evidence of blue penguins exists within the West Coast region. Please use iNaturalist and this project to record a location and note whether you've seen a live (or dead) penguin, or tracks. This information helps us improve our conservation work - so a big thank you!
The West Coast Penguin Trust is a community conservation non-profit. Its aim is to conserve the blue penguins, Fiordland crested penguins, other threatened seabirds and their habitat on the West Coast.
This ongoing, year-round project supplements the annual blue penguin count that takes place in October.
