Medium-sized, terrestrial, epiphytic & lithophytic. Has dark spines towards the base, long petioles, a stout scape, a cylindrical curved inflorescence with red sepals and yellow-saffron petals.
Lowland rainforest, broadleaved forest, montane and cloud forest. Found 200m – 2000m asl.
