Peruvian and Bolivian Andes
Rosette-forming terrestrial bromeliad, flowering 1.5m high. Leaves are 1m long with blades pale leidote beneath and glaborous above. Inflorescence is compound, densely cylindrical and covered in white wool – except petals. Bracts are brown, flowers are bright green with yellow stamens and fruits are brownish-green.
Grows at high elevation in wet and rugged terrain between 3000m – 4,800m asl
