I saw this grey pigeon at the old town train station. It was walking around looking for food. It was mostly dark grey with with some light grey and a little green on its neck.

I found this hummingbird at the bottom of the stairs by the practice soccer field on campus. It’s wings were drenched it water so it was struggling to fly so I got it to help it out. It was a dark color with yellow on its head.

I found this bush surrounded by some trees, bushes, and grass. The leaves were dirty but they are green and around the leaves were rigid. They had some red little berry looking things growing. The stems were thin and brown.

I found this tree tobacco on a hike; it stood out to me because of its leaves, flowers and how thin and sparse it was. It’s trunks/stems were pretty thin and a light brown color. The leaves were big, bright green, and had a bumpy texture to them. The flowers were yellow, they had a tube shape and then flared out at the opening.

I found this plant growing out of some rocks. I don’t think it’s a fleshy Russian thistle but it looks similar to it and may be related to it. It’s stems were a red/pink color and some of the leaves were as well. But most leaves were green and all were thin and had fuzz on them.

I came across this California Manroot on a hike. It was surrounded by many trees and bushes. The leaves were very big and had a bumpy and rough texture. The veins on leaf were very prominent. This plant stood out to me because it had small and long green coil type of things coming out of it.

I saw this Eurasian Collared Dove walking on the sidewalk with another one of the same kind, both ended up flying in the tree. The wings were a light grey color and the top of its head; the rest was a cream color. The bird also had a black thing mark around its neck.

I found this California Polypody growing between some rocks. The whole plant was green, the stems were thin and had many leaves on a single one. From the tip to the bottom of each stem filled with the leaves the leaves went from a small size to a larger size. The edges of the leaves were ridged.

I came across this big shrub or tree that was filled with many flowers. The flowers were tiny and in bunches; they were a lavender color and in the center was a darker purple color. It had small leaves with spikes around its edges. It had a pretty thin trunk and branches.

I’m not sure if this is considered a small tree or bush but I came across it and it was the only one of it kind around. It’s leaves were extremely big, with its “veins” very prominent and red. Most of the leaves were green, one was a greenish/reddish color, and there was another that was brown/red color. The stem/branches were a red with a white coating.

I came across this elders bush on a hike. It was surrounded by grass and I don’t think there were any other bushes like it near. The bush had some tiny yellow flowers that had blossomed. The flowers were packed in bunches. The branches that held the leaves and flowers were brown and fuzzy. The leaves were green with spikes around the edges.

I came across this greater periwinkle plant on a hike. There were other plants like it but they were all separated in different patches. The leaves veins are very prominent on the top side, it’s top side is also shiny, and they are symmetrical. This plant has beautiful lavender colored flowers that blossom, that have five petals, each are separated from each other so they don’t really touch.

I saw this bush surrounded by grass. The branches/stems of the bush were a reddish/pinkish brown with some green that had some white small fuzz coming off of them. The leaves were shiny of the top side and matte on the back side of it. The leaves had small spikes all around its edges.

I came across this patch of what I believe is mountain coyote mint. It was surrounded by grass and weeds. It’s leaves were green, thin, and had white stuff on them. I don’t remember if the white stuff was fuzz on the leaf or specks of stuff. The stems were a lighter green than the leaves.

I found this green plant surrounded by other green plants similar to it on a hike. It’s branches and stems were a reddish brown color. It’s leaves were pretty small, they were round/oval shape. The leaves had white hairs coming out of them and around three leaves would come out together in each section where there were some.

I noticed this patch of field bindweed that had pretty flowers coming out of it. The flowers had five rounded pointed edges that each had a small light pink patch with a white line going through it and the center and rest of the flower was white. The stems of the flowers were thin and green.

I’m not sure if this is a tobacco plant or not but all the suggestions were some type of tobacco. The plant in height and width was small but it had huge leaves. The leaves were green and it’s vienes were a lighter green. The stem was thick and looked a bit like bamboo.

I found this bush that I think is some type of sage plant. The leaves were an oval shape and narrowed out at the top creating a pointed tip. The leaves had some texture as can be seen in the second picture. The flower of the plant kind of reminded me a little of lavender. The flower was a light purple color and is separated into three parts.

I found this tall and thin plant on a trial. I’m not sure if it would be considered a small tree or bush. The stem was brown and the stems for the leaves were a cream color. The leaves were green, long, and round with a slight pointed tip. The back of the leaves were white.

I found this tall and wide bush that I believe is an laurel sumac along the side of a trail. The leaves were green with its edges like a burgundy color along with its stems. The vines of the leaves were white and very prominent. The leaves were long but they curved downwards.

I came across this bush, what I’m assuming is a big saltbush, on a hike. It was on the side/edge of the trail. It wasn’t very tall but it was pretty wide. The leaves were pretty small and had a long triangle shape and were green with white specks splattered all over. The stems were green with some brown and also the white specks that were on the leaves.

I found these mushrooms growing in my front yard in the middle of some clovers. The mushrooms were very small, one was either dead or dying and the other was alive. The top of the mushroom had a brown spot on it. The rest of the mushroom top was like a cream color.

I saw this Poison Hemlock on a bike path. When I came across it I didn’t think anything of it or that it would be poisonous. The whole plant was green the stems were a lighter green than the leaves. The leaves had a rigid structure and pointed at the tip.

I came across this Arroyo Willow tree and it stood out to me because of these yellow fuzzes that were coming off of the branches of the tree. The branches were very long and didn’t have many of the yellow fuzzes on them.

I found this lemonade berry tree on a hike. It was surrounded by other lemonade berry trees, other trees, and some grass. The tree was about 4 feet tall. The leaves were green and the branches holding the leaves were a reddish brown color. And coming out of the leaves were some small pink spherical flowers that hadn’t yet bloomed, and small pink flowers that had bloomed.

I found this beetle on a hike that was mainly dirt but there was also some grass and trees. I’m not sure what type of species of beetle it was but it was black and a little bit bigger than a quarter. It had six legs and it’s two back legs were longer than it’s front ones.

I found this weed on a hiking trail so it had some dirt on it and also was growing out of the dirt. The shape of the leaf reminds me of the shape of a shell. The leaves have rigid edges. The leaves grow of thin green stems. It was big group of the plant that grew.

I saw these leaves coming out of some where there were other plants cultivated but I don’t think this was meant to be planted because this was the only plant of its kind and it was coming out of no where. The leaves were light green and forest green. They were thick at the bottom and went inwards at the top and pointed a little at the tip. The stems were thin and green.
