Descripción

A majority of them were only heard, but one was spotted flying among the low branches on the edge of the open field area in the middle of the peninsula. There seemed to be a large group of Chickadees in the this area. The area took up the majority of the mid portion of the peninsula, concentrated towards the interior where the trees provided slight protection from the windy cliff sides. There were patches of Northern white cedar, Eastern hemlock, Eastern white pine, and hardwood mixes. A shrubby under story surrounded the edges of a grass field. The lack of activity could have been due to the cold, windy weather, explaining only the short chips and calls that were heard.
