This fern was found on the USF Tampa campus growing on a tree. It had rounded leaves and was approximately 12 cm in length. The majority of the ferns were bright green with a few exceptions that were pale green/yellow. The Resurrection fern is most prominent in the Southeast area of the United States and requires a host plant, typically an oak tree, to grow. The fern is unique due to its ability to lose a tremendous amount of water without dying and the ability to be revived when watered again.
