This is a Sword Fern. It is also commonly known as the Boston Fern. The genus is Nephrolepis and the species is exaltata. The class is: Polypodiopsida, the order is: polypodiales, the family is Nephrolepidaceae and the kingdom is Plantae.
I found this outside of my apartment complex where the wildlife was untouched and protected from construction. This was not a cultivated site as I asked around and these were naturally present. This space is open to the public. Around this were various trees, other ferns and flowers.
