Pelagic cormorant in basic plumage seen at Arcata Marsh. The plumage was uniformly dark black with a slight green luster/iridescence and the bill was a dark grey color.

I also believe that the third type of gull flying overhead was a Glaucous-winged Gull. They appeared similar to the mew gull but their wings were a bit lighter and the modeling around their heads were more present.

I have been seeing a lot of gulls flying over my house recently. One of them is a Mew Gull. I can tell because they’re wings are a medium shade of grey and they seem to have a light grey modeling on their faces.

I believe I saw a female cinnamon teal at the Marsh just now. She had a dark eyeliner and the brown patterning seemed very similar to a cinnamon teal female.

Marbled Godwin seen at the Arcata Marsh. I was unable to get a photo as it started to rain too heavily. I was able to ID the godwit due to the bi-colored beak that is a more pink/orange color closer to the head of the bird and transitions into a dark grey or black tip of the beak. They also have a recurved bill.

Anna’s hummingbird seen at my hummingbird feeder very briefly. This was easier to ID because I remember you saying that this was pretty much the only hummingbird left in arcata around this time. I also could tell from the green backside and not very colorful crown that this was a female Anna’s hummingbird.
