iNaturalist is great. I've found it so helpful to be able to squint at everyone's photographs here - being able to compare so many examples and noting all the differences is helping me learn so much. Plus it's feeding into my job where I can communicate that knowledge and enthusiasm to others. I do try with my identifications - but if I've put something daft, please do point out where I've gone wrong.

I seem to have identified an (embarrassingly) large number of things (I find it quite soothing and it's nice to think it's useful). But mostly they're common species that aren't too tough to identify from a photo https://uk.inaturalist.org/observations?ident_user_id=ffnaturalist&place_id=any&subview=grid&view=species - so I hope that helps people think they could get stuck in with identifying too.

If I had any advice it would be upload more photos of the same observation! Arty shots are great but not often enough on their own. This isn't Bladerunner and it's often hard (by which I mean impossible) to identify things for sure without offering different angles.

You often need a clear view of a plant's leaves as well as its flowers (the backs sometimes help too), or for trees some close-ups of buds / seeds / leaves, or for snails different views to include their underside, profile etc. Providing those will help you get more identifications confirmed! :)
