I lived in Redwood City, CA for 35 years, where I had the great fortune after retirement to be a nature docent for kids at Filoli and Edgewood and Huddart County Parks. I was a founding member of the Peninsula Mycological Circle there. Now I’m living in Goleta/Santa Barbara and having a wonderful time learning all the SoCal plants and critters...I feel like a kid in a candy store. Now I am a docent at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, San Marcos Foothills Preserve, and Nature Track. NT is a wonderful organization that takes kids and also wheelchair users on nature hikes.. INat and all the amazing observers who use it are our teachers. I’d love to meet some mushroom people here!
