April 21: 8 days to City Nature Challenge 2021!
City Nature Challenge DC is an annual event that invites observers to record observations between Friday, April 30 and Monday May 3. Observations may be uploaded between April 30 and May 9. On May 10, the global results, organized by city, will be reported out.
The Anacostia watershed is fortunate to have many dedicated observers who regularly share their observations on iNaturalist. The information gathered helps document and celebrate the extraordinary richness of life in the DC region. There are safely distanced and virtual events planned if you would enjoy participating in a group activity during City Nature Challenge.
