The Ermelo Stewardship (which also has an iNaturalist project) - a private nature reserve - was completely burnt on the evening of 8 October 2019 by the leading front of the Busby's Flat wildfire. Despite several small rainfall events, the site failed to get significant rain until nearly a hundred days later.
