5 turkey vultures die after being poisoned by vet euthanasia drug.
California wildlife officials say five turkey vultures have died after they were poisoned with a euthanasia drug used by veterinarians.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife says the vultures were found dead in Simi Valley last month. Two other vultures were poisoned but survived.

Wow. I can't believe it's happening here, not just Asia and Africa. What will happen when a California Condor dies because of this?
They might further restrict releasing new condors into the wild if this increases in frequency.
