City Nature Challenge Scout Event Badge Claim 2023

Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts and Scouters who have made 10 or more observations and who would like to claim the City Nature Challenge badge should please copy and paste the below URL into a web browser and ensure 10 or more observations were indeed submitted correctly. Scroll down the list of usernames to find your username.

https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?d1=2023-04-28&d2=2023-05-01&place_id=any&project_id=scouts-south-africa&subview=table&view=observers

If you think you have more than 10 observations and yet the above query reflects that you don’t have 10 or more then please check that all observations:
• Were assigned to the “Scouts South Africa” Project. See https://youtu.be/am2R91s6ZgE if you want to assign all your observations to the Scouts SA project in one fell swoop.
• Your observations on your phone were synced successfully with iNaturalist.
• Have the locality (latitude and longitude) correctly recorded.
• Have the date observed being in the 28 April to 01 May 2023 window.
• Have Geoprivacy set to "Open" or "Obscured" (not "Private").

Please let you Den, Pack or Troop Scouter know what your username is and claim a badge from this person.

Could Den, Pack and Troop Scouters please find out which Meerkats, Cubs and Scouts in their Group participated and get their usernames and check whether they made 10 or more observations.

The final day by which you can make your unit claim is midnight 12 May 2023. Den, Pack and Troop Scouters should let Nigel Forshaw know by emailing nigel.forshaw@scouts.org.za.
