This climbing vine was draped over the canopy of a small tree. The tri-lobed leaves were reminiscent of some Passifloras, but the flowers are not. The flowers seem to have two cup-shaped bracts or calyx parts (?). From 15 ft below, I couldn't make out any more details. Photographed in very early morning light.

These (atypical) leaves are the lower shade leaves of a sapling tree which I took to be Quercus falcata, and perhaps Q. falcata var. leucophylla, but that's probably stretching it for such a sample.

A poor photograph of one of the late arrivals to the Moth Mania event at Elmer Oliver Nature Park. Although a discussion on MPG suggests that funeralis and maculalis cannot be told apart reliably by photographs, there is a strong probabilistic argument to be made that *absent* a white spot on the head, the moth will be funeralis. A photo of the underside of the abdomen would help a lot. See:

This moth fluttered out of some bushes and landed under a window. Quoting from BugGuide accounts:
Eulithis
bugguide.net/node/view/10177
and
Eulithis gracilineata - Greater Grapevine Looper - Hodges#7197
bugguide.net/node/view/40894
"The adults of two common species are very similar and frequently confused: E. diversilineata (Lesser Grapevine Looper) and E. gracilineata (Greater Grapevine Looper).... The forewing measures of the Greater and Lesser essentially do not overlap (Lesser 12-15 mm; Greater, 16-19 mm). Thus, this is a case where photographs with a millimeter rule are not only useful but crucial for photo identification."
Photo of moth next to metric scale shows forewing chord is almost 20mm, so this is Eulithis gracilineata.
