Spotted a large log that turned into an albatross when we got closer.
Obviously enjoying the Tohe as it stayed put when I went to get photos.
I have tentatively given this the ID of Antipodean albatross as from NZbirdsonline ID system this is the only one that lives within this area (30 - 50 degrees north-south and here is 34 degrees).
Or it could be Gibson's albatross (Diomedea antipodensis gibsoni)
