Note: I have photographed this Hexatomini at Cedar Bog in Champaign County, Ohio for at least 17 years. Always in the same area.

The dragonfly was patrolling along the edge of Ohio Brush Creek just a few feet high. The patrol was perhaps 200 feet long. The patrol flight speed was not exceptional.

First tiger beetle I've ever come across but they're something that I've wanted to find for several years now.

While taking photos of some pollinators among a cluster of rhododendron bushes a large form buzzed past me and landed on a path leading to a Buddhist worship hall. At first I thought it might be a large wasp, but as I got closer I realized it was a Cicindela species. Even better, it was very cooperative and didn't spook as I slowly inched toward it to snap some photos.
