Asplenium platyneuron seen in a pine plantation. Handful of others nearby, but less than 20 here. Shady canopy on top of a hill, and dry soil (2% soil moisture in the surrounding area) however many horsetails were seen nearby indicating wetter conditions. Some associated species were Dryopteris marginalis, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, and Equisetum species (most likely E. hyemal, but uncertain).
Anacampsis nonstrigella. Photographed near St Williams, Norfolk County, Ontario on 20 July 2022. A great moth to see anywhere in Ontario...
Weird looking Salamander, I've never seen a Red-back like it. He/she was all red and almost looked transparent, anyone know what this is?
