Fungified spider!! James Crofts-Bennet thinks the spider is Cycloctenus. iNat suggested the fungus species, which seems likely. Found on a tree in the redwoods area of Ross Creek.

Unusual white pattern on side and abdomen.
Underside has distinctive markings
intersex-plumaged mallard. This individual has been here since last year but I've finally been able to get good photos.
Observations of this individual have yielded no attempted breeding behavior, as well as a lack of food and territorial (perching/sleeping spot) aggression.
These two nestlings were likely abandoned by their mother.
Pair of tracks. Hunting.
On small Red-eared Slider. Curled up because outside of water?
(Bird poop free, no extra charge.)

Leucistic Red-Tailed Hawk
been trying to figure out where this bird was for two years... persistence, a hunch and a tip put this one on my life list after I shed a few tears, did a jig, and gave out a loud yelp later in the day
Red-winged Blackbird
near Stewardson, Illinois
1 June 1989
I'm posting this record just for the general interest of a Red-winged Blackbird with one white wing. Whether a partial albino, or a partial leucistic bird, I'm not sure. A local farmer told my wife and me that this bird had been on his farm for three summers. The bird left in the fall with the other Red-wingeds and came back in the spring. I watched it for about 30 minutes. It vocalized like any other Red-winged BB and interacted with other Red-wingeds normally. It was pretty flashy to see in flight, however. Three shots posted. These images scanned from old color slides.
Juvenile Aneides flavipunctatus with no dark pigments, found with UC Berkeley Herpetology course.
