Descripción

I interrupted this hawk taking her morning bath in our native garden - she hopped up on a tree branch when I saw her, and sat there preening for a bit, then flew back onto the ground, sunned her feathers and fanned her wings, ate some of a squirrel she'd caught and had laying on the ground, before finally soaring up on top of our nature kiosk. Didn't seem at all bothered by my quiet, calm, and respectful presence. Beautiful!!!
