Unusually looking squirrel, with "piebald" coloration. Apparently, it has become already a viral phenomenon around the South Bay (http://www.viralnova.com/awesome-squirrel/).

Descripción

This albino squirrel is an interesting creature living in Highland Park, St. Paul Minnesota. She, I call her she, but I do not actually know the animal’s sex. But I call her she because she is delicate for a squirrel. She walks slowly and comes into places in my garden that other squirrels will not enter. She comes every evening almost exactly on time to get a drink of water from my pond. While this photo was taken this evening, she did not see me standing in the garden and just walked right into her usually spot. At the flash of the camera on my phone she took some notice but continued to drink just a little longer before hesitating but then did leave. I try not to disturb her. She also seems less robust than the other squirrels and seems to prefer her own company, but it constantly bothered, and chased by the other squirrels. She does not seem to be playing squirrel games but trying to run away. She only comes out in the very early morning and late in the evening. The first time I saw her she was running around on the side of the house, running on the white stucco wall of the house and I wondered why she was running on the building? Because it was white, I wondered, and she thought it might be a good place to hide. Does she know she is albino? She seems to know things differently for the other squirrels. Plenty of animal’s drink from my pond but she is the only squirrel that shows up daily. I like her very much and hope she continues to live a good live in my neck of the city and in my yard as she pleases.
