Had a fun encounter with this young fella in Nebraska, ended up calling Raptor Conservation, thought he was sick, spent all day talking back and forth. Come to find out he was a juvenile and they are notably ‘young and dumb’ and will kind of just sleep anywhere. He took a nap and when I came back, he was gone. Amazing experience.
