Cestrum nocturnum
( lady of the night, night-blooming jessamine, night-scented jessamine, night-scented cestrum or poisonberry)
open at night, and are produced in cymose inflorescences. A powerful, sweet perfume is released at night. (source: wiki)
we call this flower as RAATRI RANI in Kannada . As most of the flower the life of this flower is just a night !
But this flower attracts numerous moths during night & bees early morning . Hence this flower has large numbers of spiders too. Thomisidae ( crab spiders ) are mainly seen here. As spider visits each and every flower, in the process dragline (web ) is been released all through.
In the natural process, flower falls during during day. But this Night-blooming jessamine doesn't fall to ground, instead it hangs !
Yes, its SPIDER EFFECT. because of sticky (slight) spider web/ dragline on every flower connected to plant . flower doesn't fall in to ground .
This flower stays hanging for week & gets dry on air .
Yes, flowers life is just a day, but its life(though dead) has been extended just because of spider !

We tie this creeper around large copper pot(ಮಂಡೆ in Tulu, ಹಂಡೆ in Kannada) on eve of first day(Naraka Chaturdashi) of Deepavali. Previous day we clean pot before tying. We skip our usual bathing schedule that night and postpone it to early morning of Narak Chaturdashi.

Indus blind dolphins (Platanista minor) are almost unmissable during a visit to Sukkur, the city built along the Indus itself.
It is the species' stronghold (Guddu to Sukkur) throughout its population in Pakistan and India (Beas).

A park named 'Lab-e-Mehran' is on the banks of the Indus where one can easily sit down on its earthen banks and watch dolphins in the river right next to it. If there are less visitors in the Park and thus, less noise, you can even hear these Cetaceans taking a gulp of air through their blowhole and coming as close as 15 feet to the bank.
