"This plant is special", according to my botanist friend.
Basing this solely on Identotron suggestion; note beautiful fringe around the cap. This was the second of these I observed in fairly close proximity.
on an Eastern Redcedar. Any ideas to species or I'm assuming this is best left at genus?

Went over to Cobblestone Trail Park after work today to look for some bugs. :)
Had to give my eyes a break from emails and go outside to look at bugs instead! :) Lots are out right now!!!
Another morning of surveys for our "10 Parks Study." We're trying to show folks that biodiversity exists even at these tiny urban parks -- they're crucial refuges for nature and for the naturalists that seek it out. :)
