(If I'm right to species) Genus also sometimes Leptogium. Noted as a species of concern in Canada. Described by Goward and Bjork: https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2012/ec/CW69-14-631-2011-eng.pdf I took a small specimen so I could photograph the underside surface and growth on moss. The moss involved is much coarser than I expected. On the same tree a few cm away there was the larger specimen shown in the overview photo. The "skin" is almost black, quite smooth and very thin with smooth lobed edges except that in lower right of the overview there are some sharp points. Apothecia show no brown and are partially sunken, reminding me of the suction cups on the legs of an octopus. On conifer with moss. I saw small specimens on 2 other trees in the area and was looking only at eye level intermittently so it could be widespread in the area.
Sepals > petals. Inflorescence bracts leafy. Leaves lanceolate
