I spotted this heron fishing for sticklebacks in Strawberry Creek.
Cria encontrada dentro del motor de un carro viejo junto con otras 6 crias, se tomo para la foto, y luego se regreso a su madriguera.
At the beginning of the trail, in more of an open field I had seen this flowering plant. This plant stuck out to me because of how interesting it looked. At the base of the flower it had about an inch and a half of pointy green things coming out. The flowering part had purple pointy things coming out the top. The flower itself was an interesting shape, where it started thicker in the bottom and got skinnier as it went up, but all of the parts seemed to look like they were just in that area (no flower parts sticking out for the most part). I thought this flower was very interesting to look at because I had never seen anything like this before. This was the only plant in the area, and the only bloomed flower on the plant. I had seen numerous buds which looked the same as this, but without the purple. The leaves were very skinny and the stem and leaves both had a dark green color to them. This plant was located in the sun, had a lot of vegetation surrounding it including numerous other types of flowering plants. The wooded/shaded area was about 20 feet away.
