Noticed under the redwood duff alongside the trail. steep hillside. mostly sandstone soil. redwoods, fir, and alder growing in the area. lots of colder temps at night lately. it rained last night and is dry and warm again today.

some fruiting bodies were rotting and some were come up new. strong crustacean odor.

Fruiting extremely abundantly under Fir, Redwood, Alder, and Tan oak. probably over one hundred fruiting in the area. Stringy fruiting body texture. positive uv reaction. steep hillside. sandstone soil with lots of thick undisturbed and disturbed duff. rocky soil also. I've noted these here for a few years now. vibrant orange, and apricot color. noticed ed under lots of duff. some were getting tougher and darker in color as they dried out.
