An adult male (22 pounds) killed by a vehicle. Photo #4 shows the front left foot with the claw on the first toe overgrown. Photo # 5 shows the right front foot with typical claws. Photo #6 shows the genital area of a male. The sex was confirmed internally, and the skeleton was saved for a university research collection.
I was focusing a mockingbird perching on a wire but my len ended up focusing the falcon which I didn’t noticed it until then.

He was chillin around the CT, MA, RI border in the woods.
Dismembered mammal, looks like a feline, in the middle of a field, near a playground. Could only find the leg and tail. The skin covering the toe pads was coming off, shown in the 7th image.
Leg was 10cm to the junction, and the foot was 10.5cm long, tail was over 12cm long (images 8, 9, 10). Looked to be freshly dead based on the pinkness of the exposed flesh. Claw shown in the 14th image. Last photo shows the location.
First few photos are how we found this dead mantis. Following photos are after we placed it on a rock for better photography. Mantises confuse me, but I'm wondering about I. oratoria?
