This slime mold was found in a pile of decaying wood growing on the most decayed pieces. (The pile appears to be mostly hard wood and has been added to over the years with fallen trees/branches cleared from the path.)
The slime mold was bright orange and very tiny - smaller than the head of a dressmaker's pin.
Each shiny, orange ball was on top of a short, whitish/semi-translucent stalk, which was attached to the wood.
There was no discernible scent.
