Possible Thread Snake? Found on pavement beneath a potted plant.
Documenting growth in this population. All the vernal pools seem to have tadpoles in them now.

This juvenile about 14-16" in length and about the diameter of a pinkie finger was sighted midday out in the open but it traveled quickly to cover beneath this small dried out shrub. I was able to crawl around at ground level and detect its presence by the gleam of one eye and observe it through ultra close focus binoculars to assist in making an identification. About ten minutes later it moved again, heading toward rocks and thicker cover when this cell phone photograph was taken.
