Long legs, sitting in a large flax bush at Motutara Point on edge of Lake Rotorua
mature male running topside ~40 mins after sunset; spotted by his eyeshine reflecting from headlamp, but presence of literally thousands of Anoteropsis in the same area makes this difficult!
Fast running spider. Wolf spider maybe? Quite small if so, probably no more than 12mm from front legs to back legs.

We had a flying visit to NZ early Dec last year so I had a short while to look about some gardens in Auckland. The weather was terrible. This jumping spider was in a gazania.
Loads of these underneath rocks at low tide line
