Locally common festooning shrubs and saplings in kauri (Agathis australis) dominated forest (n this image specimen growing through Sophora microphylla). Leaflets distinctly pubescent-pilose with fulvous hairs (these especially copious adaxially).
Couldn't find fertile. Uncommon. Noted once on rewarewa (Knightia excelsa).
Open low forest on ridge crest. female shrubs seen.
Common in places on edge of saltmarsh.
