Putting on quite the morning performance! I wish I only knew more bird calls so I could appreciate how impressive this one's repertoire is.
Sharp-Shinned? Cooper's?
Leaning sharp-shinned
Small dead bird on the sidewalk. Around 2 inches from head to tail probably. I think it may be a hummingbird but I am not sure.
Initially I had settled on this bird being a Hutton's vireo given the extent of yellow coloration of this bird. This can be seen in the two fully lit shots of the bird.
The two poorly lit shots may be a different vireo as there were two of them best I could tell and they are the two photos that look more like a Cassin's.
Personally I feel the best color representation of any bird in a photo will be when you get it broadside to the light source with a blue sky as the dominant background. Also a RAW file will be the most accurate for color. All these photos were processed from RAW files will minimal color adjustments to saturation and vibrancy. Camera settings were the same for all pics.
