This is my fourth observation. This picture was taken in the evening at Flatwoods Nature Trail which is a very foresty/woody-type habitat. The weather was very hot and sunny. The plant was very short and appeared to be very fan-like with its leaves seemingly appearing from a stem base that was rooted to the ground. The leaves were very rough in nature with a single vein-like distinction running through the leaves. it seemed to live in the damper parts of the trail
I am classifying this plant as kingdom plantae and as a seedless vascular plant. I am identifying this as apart of the kingdom plantae because it very clearly uses photosynthesis to obtain energy because it lacks a mouth. Additionally I am classifying this organism as a seedless vascular plant because it has true stems, roots and leaves.
