Near a pond on a farm
Eucalipto arco-iris
Box turtle about 4 inches long.
About 2.5 inches crossing a road early morning so I put it on the other side of the road. Very sharply defined markings in yellow on a dark greenish shell.
Found with its posterior sticking out of a tunnel in a sugarberry tree that had recently been cut down. Close-up shows the small pair of pronotal pores that help to separate this species from E. parallelus.
