Trouvée dans une ancienne carrière par une fillette de 4 ans, en décembre. Figée par le froid sur un rocher retombé dans l'ombre. Placée un peu plus loin pour qu'elle puisse regagner un trou.

Pics taken before I realized the importance of having scale. However, I kept the specimen: height = 6 cm (Pic 1), length = 12 cm (Pic 2). The volume rules out all birds except Ostrich though they don’t occur on the property and their droppings don’t look anything like this. Snakes like cobras and mole snakes (which occur here) have much thinner droppings. The fine crumbliness of the white portion (solid uric acid – their urine) seems to me to be fairly characteristic of snakes. Those of birds and other reptiles don’t seem that crumbly.
I'm not sure what this is. I'm fairly certain it's some sort of mold. It's just growing on the dirt ground near a building.
