A patch of White Clover I found growing along the sidewalk. White Clover is immensely abundant in my town, singlehandedly the most common plant I stumble across, so I'm not really sure why it's taken me so long to get around to making an observation of it. Probably because they're not as attractive as a lot of flowers that grow around here, but they're a lot prettier up close than I gave them credit for.
I believe this to be White Clover because, well, it's obviously White Clover; what more do you want from me? :D
A very spiny thistle I found growing along the train track. I pricked myself a couple of times while trying to photograph it. I've walked by this thistle several times lately, so today I decided I'd finally make an observation of it.
I'm pretty confident that it's a Bull Thistle, due to it being heavily spined, and its deep magenta flowers, as opposed to the less prickly and paler flowered Field Thistle, which occupies the same range.
I found these growing out of the side of a bridge. At first, I thought these were snapdragons, however, upon closer inspection of the leaves, I determined they must be Toadflax...
These guys appear to have escaped from peoples' gardens, and are becoming pretty common in my area, both in the city, as well as in the surrounding woods and countryside...
A couple of very pretty Oxeye Daisies... :)
