Mothing Equipment Checklist!
It was funny to me that so many of us showed up to the first group-mothing event of the spring season, eager to moth, each forgetting a different piece of equipment - I forgot my headlamp at home in a drawer and went home to get it. I decided to put together a mostly-essentials checklist for myself or anyone else who might find it useful.
Attracting:
• UV Lights
• power Supply (AC/USB)
• sheet and/or drum
• sheet hanging supplies (clips/magnets)
• light hanging supplies (hook/dowel/clips/stand)
Viewing:
• camera/or phone and any lens attachments
• ring light/flash
• headlamp
• power bank & cables
Containing:
• viewing jars, petri dishes
• aspirator or "pooter"
• net
Comfort:
• transportation: wagon, backpack, tote, etc.)
• seating: stool, chair, kneepads
• water/snacks
