I have my B.S. from Northern Michigan University in Fisheries & Wildlife Management. I am interested in all things related to camera trapping. During my studies, I was involved with three camera trapping projects: Yooper Wildlife Watch (NMU), Presque Isle Deer Survey (NMU), and Project Wild Coshocton (OSU-Newark). During my free time, I am working toward capturing a variety of Michigan's wildlife on my cameras.

I have observations from Isle Royale National Park where I've worked as a Balsam Fir Intern for the Wolf-Moose Project. I also have observations from Waterloo State Recreation Area, helping painted and snapping turtles cross park roads. The endangered Blanding's turtle is also found in the park, which is one of my favorites.

I'm currently working as a Student Assistant for the MI-DNR, Wildlife Division - Research Unit in the Northern Lower and Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I post my camera trap images and other wildlife findings on my Instagram. Feel free to follow me @louieswildlifecameras
