I have many (over 25) years' experience as a biologist, with a focus on aquatic biology, including bivalves on the US Pacific Coast, and amphibians and fish in Nevada.

I was in Peace Corps in Nicaragua for 2 years co-teaching elementary school science and lingered there for over a year afterwards. We traveled for awhile after that and are currently (2021) living in Alpine Texas. While in Nicaragua I enjoyed focusing my iNat observations on native bees, as well as other insects and spiders.

I am also very interested in photography, especially of people and nature. I like to take photos to document biodiversity and am constantly learning new things about nature and photography.

English is my mother tongue. Tambien hablo español. Je parle français aussi.
