Ph.D. in wildlife science and certified wildlife biologist (The Wildlife Society), currently an assistant professor and research scientist at Texas A&M International University. My main research focus is on neotropical herpetology (primarily in Bolivia) and other projects related to wildlife ecology (USA). I curate a small, but growing, vertebrate collection at TAMIU, and co-curate a joint herpetology collection that is housed at Universidad Autónoma del Beni "José Ballivián", Beni, Bolivia. Almost all of my experience lies in herps and mammals; however, I am using iNaturalist to dabble in the dark arts of bird and insect ID.
