I have a background in ecology, evolution, and environmental education in California, though have lived in Borneo since 1996. Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plants) have been a major focus of my work for the past few decades, but I am also interested in a broad range of biodiversity, particularly insects and amphibians and the majority of the flora and fauna of Borneo. Currently am engaged as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Biodiveristy and Environmental Conservation, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.
