My iPhone is always close at hand when I hike or kayak to use INaturalist to identify the elements of any landscape I am moving through. As a lover and grower of native plants, I take what I've learned and apply it in my own situation or to educate others as to what they are seeing. No assist out there is better than INaturalist is this regard. It enables the Citizen Scientist, like me, to spread the word about the importance of native vegetation.....each one teach one.
