I enjoy photographing the diverse life with which I coexist . Sharing with iNaturalist helps me justify/assuage the guilt of spending hours wandering hills and valleys observing and photographing when I should probably be doing any number of projects on my very long to do list.
I am saddened by the increasing loss of biodiversity that I have noticed in my own backyard over 30 to 40 years and feel powerless to do much more than document its decline (photographing the flies on the deckchairs of the Titanic)
As my iNaturalist project I aim to document as many of the amazing and wonderful lifeforms sharing my property and nearby scrub where I walk almost daily.
