Logan Parker is an ecologist and naturalist residing in Waldo county, Maine. Long fascinated by nature and passionate about citizen science, Logan began a career as a field ecologist primarily focused on the birdlife of his home state.

Logan is the director of the Maine Nightjar Monitoring Project, a multifaceted research effort focused on the study and conservation of Maine’s whip-poor-wills and nighthawks. Logan served as the lead technician for the Maine Bird Atlas, conducting field work in remote sections of Northwestern Maine, the Western Mountains, and wetlands across the state. With the conclusion of this effort, he is serving as an editor for what will be the published edition of the Atlas. He also serves on the steering committee for the Global Nightjar Network, an international nightjar-focused network of researchers, conservationists, and enthusiasts established in 2020.

Logan is naturally curious and possesses a passion for documenting components of the biosphere, whether at home or deep in the woods of northern Maine. He also enjoys writing, photography, woodworking, and gardening.
