Hi there, I'm Julie, a biologist/natural resource program manager/nature lover in California. Particular interests include Mojave desert and eastern Sierra species, habitats and ecosystems.

I work with Mojave desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) and other species. A high priority for me personally and professionally is educating public about impacts of Common raven (Corvus corax), especially due to drastic raven population increases in California deserts. Please join the 2023 California Common Raven and Nest Count project (and add any 2020 observations to the previous years' projects). The 2020 project was created in conjunction with efforts by the Living Desert Zoo (Palm Desert, CA).
