Since childhood I have explored and foraged in nature at the encouragement of my mother. Now, I am working to intentionally pass on the joy of the outdoors by sharing it with my son, and, after accepting a job at the South Dakota Discovery Center, in Pierre, I would like to increase my knowledge and observations. You'll find me, usually barefoot, in central South Dakota, the Black Hills, and floating the Missouri and Niobrara Rivers.
