I'm an undergraduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in the College of Creative Studies.

I am the former Avian Research Coordinator for the Peruvian NGO Fauna Forever, where I was in charge of mist-netting surveys, as well as instructing interns on bird ringing, mist netting, and identification skills. My time in Peru was disrupted by the civil unrest of 2023, however I am immensely grateful for the real world experiences I gained while doing long term field work at a remote site in a foreign country.

Diehard Thamnophilidae and Furnariidae fanatic, we still have so much to learn about these fantastic understory birds. And don't even get me started on Monstera. I'm interested in ornithology, herpetology, and neotropical botany (particularly plants in the Araceae family).

Fairly inactive on iNat, but check out my eBird! https://ebird.org/profile/MjgxMDM4Ng
